October was an extremely busy month with our highest attendance so far of 84 people, even on a very cold day we had 65.
Usual activities, including Art and pool, were in full swing. Unfortunately, we’re still trying to find a volunteer to run the Drama Group in Paulina’s absence.
We celebrated World Mental Health Day on Monday 8th with cake and nibbles, displayed Art Work around the room which people attending had produced.
We had a visit this month from workers involved in the homeless initiative in MK as well as the Early Intervention Team and Health Watch.
Health Watch had a table on the 22nd for people to air their views about their own experiences of the Mental Health Services.
Citizens Advice were again busy every session, we were missing Richard who was having an operation. Ben kindly stepped in to cover that first week. We all wish Richard a speedy recovery.
Jeremy and Cynthia attended the CAB AGM on behalf of The Mix. It was interesting learning about the huge amount of people helped in various way over the past year, also what their aims are for the future. They are a big part of our group each week, enabling people to can get that early intervention to help solve their worrying problems.
We held 2 Committee Meeting on the 1st and 29th October, next meeting is on 3rd December. These meetings are open so please come along if you’d like to!
