Numbers of those attending has still been in the high 70's in spite the the awful weather.
Our Christmas Party was a great success, with 89 people enjoying festive fish & chips supplied by the chip shop van parked outside The Point.
The concert put on by the Drama Group was simply amazing, many of us in tears in awe of their achievements in front of a large audience. Performances included:
The 3 Witches in Macbeth played by Sarah, Nicki and Charlotte
Robbie read the Cabitha Poem
Nicki read 'oh i wish i’d looked after me teeth by Pam Ayres and the Carol Ann Duffy's Poem Mrs Skinner, North Street.
Kathy read the Canary Poem
Paulina, our treasure who runs our Drama Group, read Borgia Orgie
Nicki sang the most wonderful rendition of Amazing Grace, without any music.
It ended with all the performers singing "We are the Champions" which without doubt they certainly were!
We have really nice new neighbours moved in next door, Work for us, who are always willing to help us and did in fact supply many of the chairs needed for our Christmas Party.
Big thank you to all who made it a great day for everyone.
It has been a wonderful year for The Mix, with so many making the effort to attend and enjoy the session each week with us.
For all of us involved in running The Mix, it has been a joy to attend each week too. We are all looking forward to 2018 and another very successful year ahead, with even more enjoying time with us.
As with all volunteer-led initiative, we are always on the look out for more help! If you feel you are in a position to do so, please drop us a note via out contact page or attend one of our Monday sessions!
