October has been a very busy month at The Mix. We are enjoying seeing the numbers rising steadily, many returning week after week, some for a game of pool, some joining in with the Art or Drama group, which are all very popular. Others just happily chatting.
Many went from The Mix to the World Mental Health Evening on the 10th October. It was a lovely evening with a local band playing until late as well as an inspirational presentation from Mark about his journey with a Mental Illness.
A lovely picture from The Mix was exhibited there too, depicting our journey as a group, it was admired by all. Big thank you to Janet's hard work with the Art group.
We had a fund raising weekend at Bunnings DIY Warehouse, Sausage Sizzling, for our Christmas Party, great fun and a huge success.
Christmas Party and Fish & Chips now booked for the 18th December. We are so looking forward to everyone coming to enjoy this special afternoon with us.
As well as festive fish & chips, the drama group are putting on a performance later in the afternoon. We are looking forward to lots of fun and laughter.
The Mix will be open for an extended 1.30pm until 4.30pm on the 18th.
We would also like to welcome our new secretary, Wendy!
All in all, October has been a great month at The Mix.
