Another lively session with 69 people attending. A warm welcome was offered to several newcomers.
Paulina led an informal drama session and 9 people joined her and looked to be having a good time
The Art table was busy as usual. Those who attend regularly have formed a supportive social group but continue to welcome any newcomers.
The CAB advisors managed to respond to all requests for help today and continue to be an invaluable part of the drop in - no job too big for them!
Darren from the Neighbourhood Employment Team came to the session today and spoke to several people about getting back into work. Hopefully workers from this team will come regularly to offer this much needed support.
A worker from the Autism team also dropped in and got chatting to people and workers from this team aim to attend regularly as a point of contact for this service
The Point has so many windows it heats up like a greenhouse when the sun is out which helps significantly with our lack of adequate heating. Unfortunately there was no sun today nor has there been any for several days so it was very cold. A big sorry to anyone who felt cold today and let’s hope things improve next week.
