40 people attended our first group session at “The Point” today.
Two members of staff from the Recovery and Rehabilitation team and 1 from the Family and Carers support team.
A great start at our new venue with so many coming to the group, it couldn’t have been easy for many to change to a new place for the first time, there was a wonderful atmosphere with everyone enjoying the new surroundings. We can only go from strength to strength, getting more and more people coming and enjoying the time spent there.
Billiard table will be in use next week, we didn’t have cues this week for people to use it.
We have a nice room for the Art Group to use, Janet has lots of ideas for a project for Mental Health World Day coming up in October.
A huge thank you to the MK Soup Run, part of the Woughton Group run out of Christ the Vine Church at Coffee Hall, for the generous donation of everything needed to provide teas and coffees to attendees for many weeks to come.
Also a special mention to Corinne, a volunteer from the YMCA, who has continued to help us in our new venue.
Simon Warren, Service Manager for Mental Health in Milton Keynes, also popped in to see us this week and will be returning again for a longer visit.
