53 people attended The Mix at The Point today.
It is fantastic that there regularly over 50 people coming to the session each week now, 2 new people visited and were sure of a warm welcome.
There were staff members from the Recovery and Rehabilitation team, Family and Carers support team and Rethink.
We talked again about a media launch at the committee meeting today; we need to reach a wider audience to allow many more to enjoy time with the group.
It always feels a happy relaxed couple of hours at the group. It takes time to get to know new people, lovely to see so many now chatting to others met here. Newspapers we have each week are always good to get conversations going.
Pool is very popular; many are really enjoying matches with new friends made here.
As usual, many attended the Art Session. Janet has many ideas to get people involved in The Mix project for World Mental Health Day in October.
Lots of teas, coffees and cold drinks consumed, some lovely cakes too, all were eaten by the end of the session.
No Mix next week due to the Bank Holiday
The cover image this week is of our tea and cake station inside The Mix.
