The Mix has been operating successfully for 8 months now and there is a feeling that we are ready for some wider exposure. If anyone knows of any opportunities please let us know and feel free to share this website accross your social media!
56 people attended The Mix at The Point today. There were also staff members from the Recovery and Rehabilitation, Family and Carers support, Rethink, Cherrywood, Repro House, the Early Intervention Team and the Citizens Advice Bureau.
It was lovely to see so many at the session today, 4 new people dropped by and were given a warm welcome.
More people are getting to hear about us and finding it easier to get to us at our new venue in the centre of MK and next to the bus stops.
Again a nice atmosphere. With people reading the Newspapers, playing games or just chatting. It is great to see people gaining confidence after visiting us for a few weeks, chatting to others and making new contacts and friends.
Billiard table was popular, we had more proper cues this week, kindly given to us by The Herald Snooker Club. Many were using it and enjoying playing with others who were on their own. Stu made a good job of levelling it for us.
Many were again enjoying the Art Session. Janet would like to do a collage, that people can take part in for World Mental Health Day.
Lots of tea and coffee was consumed during the session, some lovely cakes too, which went down very well with everyone.
CAB had a few people wanting to talk to them today, yet, we would like to see more people taking advantage of the vital service we have here.
The cover image this week is of the Stadium MK, where the MK dons played their first game of the 2016/17 campaign on Saturday.
