Attendance

Numbers back up this week- 62 people attended. We invested in a new fan heater which was in use today but it was a warm winter day so only time will tell if this will be effective. It felt a bit like a hairdryer in a ballroom but we have hope.

Today's Session

The session went well today with lots of chat and laughter. The drama and art groups were well attended as ever and Richard from CAB gave advice to several attendees.

We missed Jeremy this week- our man on the door, who usually offers people a warm welcome- he'll be back next week.

Some staff members working with the Early Intervention Service dropped in this week and mingled. This is a service with a focus on supporting people who are experiencing psychosis for the first time. Many of their service users are therefore quite young so it was interesting for them to see the numbers of younger people  attending the Mix regularly.

If any younger service users are reading this post please feel free to contribute in any way; you can write the weekly blog, join the committee at the AGM in the new year or offer any ideas you think would improve the service including the website- chat to Mel or any committee member. Other committee members include Jeremy on the door, Cynthia who serves the drinks and Janet who oversees the Art.
