The session today was attended by 55 people. There is not much heating at the Point so we are pleased that people are not being too put off!
There were new faces today as is usually the case.
Richard from CAB offered advice to several attendees with one person presenting with urgent needs- benefits stopped. Having CAB present at the Mix allows this service to offer much needed advice and support to vulnerable people who would be otherwise distressed and struggling. We are delighted that this alliance has formed and welcome their ongoing commitment.
The Art activities went ahead today and attracted quite a crowd who were making festive decorations.
Paulina was not able to attend today to offer her drama sessions but a regular attended took it upon himself to run the session and it was attended by five others- Thanks Colin!
The committee members have been trying to gauge how best to celebrate Christmas at the Mix and it looks like we are going with: FESTIVE FISH (and chips) on Monday 19th December with live music from Peter Coyne- CPN from the Recovery Team.
If anyone would like to offer comments for the blogs on what they think about the Mix and the value it has for them- please speak to Mel at any session. All contributions welcome.
The cover image this week is of a frost covered River Ouse.
